More than 90% of the Sun was covered by the Moon in the UK, while a full eclipse was visible in Spain and Iceland.

Millions watch 'surreal' solar eclipse in UK and Europe

Millions of people across Europe and the UK witnessed the most significant solar eclipse since 1999 on Wednesday.

For the UK, more than 90% of the Sun was covered by the Moon, whereas in some parts of Europe, a rare total eclipse could be seen.

BBC science correspondent Pallab Ghosh was in Burgos, Spain, and said he got goosebumps from the spectacle.
